Ready to go

Here is Kenna ready to go outdoors. Actually when we take her out we also cover her in many blankets. She really doesn't like having a hat on her head- but its really cold outside so I put a hat on her. We went over to Grandpa and Grandma Haw's house tonight. The Young Women were over there for mutual- so Kenna attended her first Young Women event.

The doctor says that Kenna is at the tail end of her illness- we sure hope so.

Red Hair

When Kenna was born there was a hint of red in her hair. Now every day I keep thinking that her hair is getting redder and redder. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

Kenna

Yesterday my brother Kyle came over and watched Kenna while I took a nap. I was thinking that she was feeling better, but this morning her temperature is back up a little bit. She has been a little bit more fussy today than what she usually is. - I sure hope that this illness is starting to go away.

Kenna's new toy

This last week Warren decided that Kenna needed a mobile. This is what we found. Kenna doesn't know what it is, but she is quiet while the music plays.

4 weeks old

Today Kenna is four weeks old. She had her well check at the doctor. She is 9 pounds 14 ounces, 21 1/2 inches long. She also has a viral infection- it makes her tummy really sick and she cries a lot more than usual. We hope that it doesn't last very long - poor girl.

Thanks Papa Haws!

Papa Haws got Kenna this cute orange outfit. It is actually a 3 to 6 month old outfit- she will be able to wear it for a while.

New York

Someday I would really like to visit New York City. My Sister Emily lives in Washington D.C. and has been able to visit New York City. Since I was not able to go she brought me and Kenna New York shirts. Here is a picture of us in our matching outfits.

Kenna's first road trip

Last Saturday, Feb. 10th we drove to Burley so that my mom could help me with Kenna and the IV. Warren had training in Poky all week, so he drove back and forth. We came back to Idaho Falls last night. Kenna did really well, sleeping both ways the whole time. Grandpa and Grandma Gerratt and Aunt Beverly all enjoyed having Kenna stay with them. Aunt Mindy enjoyed us being so close -she was able to come see Kenna and not have to plan a trip to do so. I think they are going to miss us.

I can't get pictures to load right now-so I will try later.

Today Kenna is two weeks old. She had her two week check up- the doctor said that she looks great. She has been a great baby- so we are so thankful that.

Kenna

Today Mom and Grandma gave Kenna a bath then put her in cute clothes for some pictures. On Sunday Kenna learned (or already knew and just did) this with her hands. So CUTE! (The top picture)

Home at Last

Becky and Kenna were able to come home on Feb. 3, 2007. We are so excited! Even though both are worn out and ready to sleep in their own beds.
When Kenna was released from the nursery on Monday, Jan. 29- she weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces. On Saturday Becky asked the nursery to weigh her just before going home. Kenna weighed 9 pounds 6 ounces. Becky knew that Kenna was getting bigger- but that was a surprise!

One Week

Becky and Kenna have now been in the hospital for more than one week. Becky is doing much better after some rest and strong antibiotics. Once her white cell count is normal for 48 hours she should be able to get home. Kenna has celebrated her first week with us and is still doing very well. Here are some pictures of her after one week.
