Timed Perfectly

Today was our weekly trip to the Zoo. It is really nice outside today- about 70 degrees. Since Warren had to work, then Greg came along-(to chase Kenna).

The alligator is now back.

Kenna looking at the monkeys.
Kylie sleeping through most of it. She did open her eyes a time or two and when she saw that she was still in the stroller, shut them really fast.
Greg and Kenna - the camels are behind and to the side of them.
Kenna watching the otters swim.

We spent just almost an hour at the zoo, and when we left it was almost 1:00. Kenna goes down for a nap between 1:00 and 1:30, so we had time to feed her lunch and put her down for her nap.

So we timed it Perfectly. (That usually doesn't happen.)

Mom's Big Helper

Yesterday we did up the girl's laundry. This morning Warren brought it upstairs for me and when I started putting it away Kenna wanted to help. She did a great job of putting her clothes in her drawer when I told her. I just watched closely where she was putting Kylie's clothes and the blankets.

Kenna Dancing

I am so glad that I figured out how to do videos!!! Now you can watch Kenna dance!

2 months and 16 months

Kylie is two months now- and Kenna is 16 months. Kylie weighs 11 pounds and 8 ounces and is 23 1/4 inches long. Kenna weighs 27 1/2 pounds, I am not sure how tall she is. And of course she is busy busy again this morning- she never stops!

Can you keep up?

Kenna has been so busy today! My house is Kenna proofed(sp)for the most part, but when I told her to go play with her toys, this is what she did.

Kylie is now smiling when you talk to her- How cute! I can't believe that she is already two months old! Crazy how fast time flies.

Fun Pictures

Sister Time!

I had so much fun with my sisters in Burley this past weekend. On Friday we all went and had a manicure, Saturday morning we all got haircuts, (except for Bev), and Saturday afternoon we had make-overs. I think one funny conversation that took place on Saturday:
Dad: Who is going to help me move cattle today?
Silence.
Mom: What time are we going to do our make-up?
At the same time-
Diane: Well we need to go to Wal-Mart and get some stuff.
Bev: When Kenna takes a nap.
Becky: This afternoon sometime.
(Sorry Dad.)

I didn't get any pictures of us doing any of those things, but we did some of the my girls and one with my sisters and mom.
My sisters brought back D.C. sweatshirts and onesies for the little girls- Thanks so much.

No Complaints

On Tuesday I drove to Burley with the girls. My mom was able to spend all day Wednessday and all day Thursday holding Kylie and playing with Kenna before my sisters got here late Thursday night. Even with Kylie crying, my mom enjoyed holding her. -I don't think that she is complaining. My dad has played with Kenna, given her donuts to eat and taught her how to go down and up the stairs so she won't fall. He even got to hold Kylie and rocked her to sleep. I don't think that he is complaining. Kenna has gotten one on one attention from me, my mom, and my dad- I don't think that she is complaining. And Kylie gets held all the time, which is her favorite- I don't think that she is complaining.

A Good Time

Yesterday Warren and I took the girls to the zoo. Kenna loves the animals. After the zoo and some lunch, I loaded up the girls and drove to Burley to my parents. Kenna has been very busy, reading Grandma's magazines and "helping" with the dishes.
Kylie got to go to the grocery store with Grandpa and mom when Kenna was taking a nap. And when we got back, she was worn out, so she took a nap. (Kylie also slept the whole time while at the store.)

Talking-(Kind of)

Kenna loves to "talk" on the phone. This morning she called my mom to talk, and when she was done "talking" she hung up. (sorry mom). And while Kenna talked, Kylie slept.

1.2 Miles

Two girls, the stroller, and a water bottle and away we go. From our house to Warren's work it is 1.2 miles. This last week I have walked it twice. It is so nice to be able to get outside and walk. Here are the girls before we headed out today.

Old Shed

When we bought our house we had an old shed in the middle of the backyard. Everyone told us to find someone to buy the wood, but no one really wanted it. The shed was in really bad shape- so down it came. I am so glad that it is gone!

Sometimes I wonder...

I love being a mom, but sometimes, I wonder what in the world was I thinking? When Kenna is getting tired and hungry, and Kylie is crying to be fed- I wonder. Around 6:00 pm and both girls are screaming for something to eat, and dinner is burning on the stove- I wonder.

But then there are the times when I am playing with Kenna and she is just laughing and doing the funniest things. Or the times when I am holding Kylie just as she is going to sleep. There is something very peaceful about holding a sleeping baby- I know why I love being a mom.

It also helps that I have the cutest girls ever!

New Stoller

For Mother's Day I got a new stroller. It is a duo one, so I can put both of the kids in it. I haven't gotten a picture of it yet, but here are some of the girls.

Cousins

This past weekend, Jenny and her family came to visit. Here are all the kids together.

Popcorn Popping

Kenna loves the song Popcorn Popping. We have an apricot tree in our backyard, and it really does look like Popcorn right now. Too bad the tree is old and doesn't give off very good fruit.

Zoo

On Saturday, Warren and Spencer took Kenna to the Zoo. I am not sure who had more fun- the boys or Kenna, but my bet is on the boys!

(If you want to see Warren getting Kenna dizzy, click on Dustin and Emily link-then scroll down to the Kenna post.)

Kylie's Day

Today was/is Kylie's blessing day!
