Wednesday night my mom came and helped me organize my basement. She was able to stay for a couple of days- and it was fun to have her here to help and play with our girls.
Kylie is eating and sleeping so much more. She is probably growing again- I can't believe how much they grow and change in just a few short months.
Kenna is busy and loves to do whatever those around her are doing. She helps weed the flowers, do dishes and she even "helped" us organize the basement.
(If someone knows if there is a way to stop kids from growing and getting older please let me know.)

My new Job
Yesterday I started a new job- babysitting two kids. I have babysat them before off and on, but now I will babysit three times a week for the next month. We will see how things go- hopefully good.
Kenna was 19 months on Sunday- Crazy to believe that she is that old already. Today Kylie is 5 months old-she knows what she wants and can grab things and play with the toys. (As long as Kenna doesn't take them from her.)
Hopefully we can figure out what is wrong with the picture thing and get some posted soon.

Our Weekend
On Saturday, Warren worked hard all day on the yard. His brother Greg, and two friends, Chris and Shane came over to help. They got a lot done, while I tried to keep Kenna from getting in their way. One step closer to a fence -Yeah!
On Friday- we tried to put curlers in Kenna's hair. She took them out as soon as I got them in. Today (Sunday) we tried again with a little bit more luck. She left them in a little bit longer and we got... hair that looked like we tried but didn't quite make it. Oh well- a pretty brett that Aunt Jenny gave Kenna fixed our problem. Kenna didn't leave it in her hair for church, but by then the brett had done its job of fixed the out of wack curl.

Fun- filled Day
Yesterday was a very busy day. We went to the zoo in the morning, then to the park for a pizza party with the mother's group in our ward. After a big morning, Kenna was ready for a nap. Late afternoon our friend Emily came over to visit. Since I had the car- we went to pick up Warren from work around 7:00, came home- made dinner, ate and had some friends over for games.
Kenna sitting on the chicken toy at the zoo.
These are the big turtles at the zoo. There was a worker standing by them- and tell us all kinds of facts about them. The one on the left is 75 years old and the one on the right is 50 years old. They will live for another 75 to 100 more years. They are both male, they keep the female in another place right next to these ones, because these ones are 2 to 3 times bigger than her and will try and hurt her. (I don't know why.) I can't remember how much the zoo lady said that they weigh, but it was a lot. The turtles spine is on their back, so when she rubbed their backs , they could feel it and would stand up.
Here is Kenna at Warren's work. They lock the door in two places and one of those places is near the floor- so Kenna is trying to lock the door with Warren's keys- that she took off his desk.
This is our friend Shane. He was showing us his cool paint-ball guns and Warren wanted a picture of him with the guns. The big one can shoot up to 100 paint -balls at one time. That is impressive!

A-jax
This is Ajax, our friend David's dog who we are dog- sitting for. Warren fed, watered and took the dog for a walk last night. This morning he went over and let him out for a minute- and when he came for lunch he went over and got the dog and brought him to our house. Kenna loves the dog and laughs whenever the dog comes near her. Now- if he would just stop barking at everything...

Playing Outside
While we were waiting for Warren to get home from work we went outside to play. I let them sit in the stroller while I mowed the lawn, then we got out and played on the grass.
When Warren did get home from work, our Bishop came over and helped us with some yard work. (That post and pictures to come at a later date.)

Big Morning
I don't know why, but Kenna hasn't been sleeping very well these last couple of days. She fights sleep anyway- and this has just made is worse. Today she was up at 7:15, but I didn't go in her room until 7:30. I gave her a bottle and a few toys to play with in her crib. That seemed really early for Kenna, especially when she didn't go to sleep until at least 10:30 last night. When Warren left for work, she cried and cried - very upset that her dad left. I took into the kitchen and gave her some lunch and she calmed down. I started working on the dishes and didn't hear anything from Kenna, turned around- She was sound asleep! I was so surprised. Getting up early and playing all morning must have worn her out.
Here is Kylie smiling- She slept all morning so is very happy.

Good times
Last night Warren had a NFL live draft for the fantasy league at his work. My friend Jamie and I have been wanting to see Mamma Mia so instead of going to the draft we went to the movie. Warren prepared for the draft by typing up, printing out, cutting and velcroing (is that word?) them all on a poster board. This morning Kenna woke up at 6:30 and didn't go back to sleep until just before 8:00. After she went to back to sleep she slept until 11:00. I couldn't believe how long she slept for. I still laid her down about 4:00 and let her sleep for about a hour, just so she wouldn't be so crabby around 7:00. I bet she will still go to sleep pretty early tonight though because she is still tired.
Here are some pictures of the girls and Warren's hard work.

18 Months
Yesterday, we had Kenna's 18 month doctor appointment. She weighs 28 pounds and is 33 1/4 inches tall. The other night Warren lowered her crib to the lowest one, and while doing it took the side off- which turns into a bed. Kenna loved that and went and laid down, but within a few minutes was up. I don't like the fact that she could climb out of bed whenever- especially at night, when she is supposed to be going to sleep. So for now the side is back on.

Playing
Our girls have been busy playing these past few days!
Kenna telling Kylie how to hold the toy. (Or just taking it from her.)
I am playing with my cars- go away! (To hide them from me she tries to put them in her pockets.)
Smile!
What?
Where's Kenna?
Here I am!-Yes, she was inside there! (And she closed the doors by herself, don't ask me how.)
Smile from Kylie.

Family, Zoo and more
Today my mom and sisters came for a visit. We went to the zoo, the funland, and then to lunch. It was a great day- even if it wore everyone out including Kenna and Kylie.

Me and my sisters!

And of course- Kylie slept through the whole thing- again.

Girls growing up
My girls are getting so big. Looking at Kenna today, I realized that she is no longer a baby, but a little girl. Kylie smiles and laughs a lot and is a good baby. We are so happy that we have our two little angels.
