Warren's Birthday

Yesterday - Nov. 29- was Warren's birthday. We had a small party for him on Friday night.

Here is Warren with his new white shirt, blank pants, and tie rack.

And here he is with his new helicopter. It is remote control - and Kenna loves it!

Name drawing

Warren's family draws names for Christmas every year. This year Mindy called me and asked if Kenna could be the one to draw the names- and if we could do it today. So Warren's dad brought over a Santa hat for her to wear while she drew the names.

Kenna's haircut

Here is Kylie playing. Does that outfit look familiar? I should have pulled it out sooner, because she is taller than Kenna was and the pants are not long enough. Oh well.

Today we got Kenna's hair cut for the first time. It was getting long and driving me crazy. Now it is out of her eyes and the back isn't so uneven.

Here it is finished.

Siting on Warren's lap beforehand- she didn't want to sit on the chair by herself so the lady that cut it asked Warren to hold her.

Here is your sign!

On Monday, Warren called me from work and said- the bank on Sunnyside just got robbed. We don't have any other details yet. That night when he got home he said-oh it was just some lady and I think they already have her in custody. So here is the story- from the local news:

A girl in her early 20's walked into the bank and told them that she had a gun and to give me all of your money. She walked out, got in a silver car and drove away. One of the tellers got the license number and the police found out who owned the car. The police went to the place of residence of the owner of the car and were questioning the neighbors and other people that lived there when a silver car drove up. It was the car in question - and the girl in question climbed out of the car and there was still most of the money in the car! Here is your sign.

Blankets

I love blankets. When it starts to get cold outside, I put a few more on my bed and I always have one in the living room to wrap up in. I have past the love of blankets to my girls. Kenna doesn't like to wrap up in blankets, but everywhere she goes she has to have her blanket. Kylie loves being wrapped up and I didn't think that it mattered what kind of blanket she had as long as she is wrapped up. I was wrong. Yesterday I gathered up the girl's church clothes and grabbed Kylie's blanket. (It is just like Kenna's only a different color.) Last night Kylie was crying and crying and I didn't know why. She should have been asleep, but just wouldn't. I was rocking her in my room when I saw my blanket out the corner of my eye. When I was a little girl I used that blanket all the time and it is kind of the same as the girl's blankets. I got it down and wrapped Kylie up in it. Within a couple of seconds Kylie was quiet and another couple of minutes sound asleep. The only reason she was crying was because she wanted her blanket!

Here are a couple of pictures of the girls from yesterday and this morning.

Our Weekend

This last weekend we went to Salt Lake and saw a Jazz game. Kenna went to Burley with her grandma and got to stay with her grandparents by herself for a couple of days.

Kylie and Warren on Temple Square.

Jazz won Friday night- and it was the coach-Jerry Sloan's 1000th win!

At the Jazz game- we were the 4th row right behind the basket- Thanks for the tickets Dad!

On Saturday we drove down to Provo and went to the BYU game with all my cousins. We left Kylie with Warren's sister Jenny.

I can too!

Kylie watches everything that Kenna does- and then tries to do what ever it is that Kenna is doing. Kylie is only 7 months, but I am already having to break up fights over toys. I knew that it would happen eventually, but I never knew it would be this soon.

Kiity Litter Cake

Yes, you read right- Kitty Litter Cake. Warren's mom told us about this cake and Warren decided to make it for work on Saturday. Here is the recipe- and it is really good- although very rich.

1 spice cake mix or German chocolate cake mix
1 white cake mix
1 pkg of white sandwich cookies
1 large pkg instant vanilla pudding
12 small tootsie rolls
green or blue food coloring

Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions. Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to use. Crumble white cookies in small batches in a blender.

When cakes are cooled, crumble in a large bowl. Toss half the cookies crumbs and chilled pudding. Gently combine - pour into clean kitty litter box-(a new one!)

Put unwrapped tootsie rolls in microwave two at a time until soft and pliable. Shape ends so they are no longer blunt- curving slightly. Repeat until you have nine, and bury them in mixture. Add a little food coloring to the cookies- then sprinkle the other half of cookies crumbs over the top. Repeat the tootsie rolls- do as many as you want. Serve with new scoop.

Halloween

Last night I took the girls to the ward Halloween party. Warren had to work late, so he was not able to go. I dressed Kenna up as a cowgirl- I think she had a lot of fun, even though she didn't quite understand the trunk-or-treat thing. (Or the games for that matter.)

Warren dressed up as a clown for work- one of his co-workers painted his face.
