What we have been up to...

On Wednesday evening we went to the Aquatic Center here in Idaho Falls to swim. Kenna took a few minutes to warm up to the idea, but once she did she had a great time swimming. Kylie loved every minute of it and splashed, kicked and smiled the whole time. I didn't think about taking the camera until we were already there, so no pictures.
Later that night I was giving Kylie a bath and she cut her toe on a medal thing that was on our plug. (Warren took it off almost immediately.) We didn't realize how sharp it was and that it could cut. We used liquid band aid to seal it shut, but the next morning it was open and bleeding so I took her to the doctor. He glued-instead of stitched it shut and so far that has held.
Greg, Warren's brother got his mission call to Lisbon, Portugal. He leaves June 3- and we are so excited for him.
The best news is that the bank is going to license Warren. He starts on Feb. 17 and it takes about 3 months.
Here are some pictures of the girls.
Kylie outgrew her big pink coat- and her infant seat. She is starting to be a big girl.

Kenna loves to read books and Kylie loves to talk on the phone.

10 Months

Today Kylie is 10 months old. She walks around furniture and can stand for a couple of seconds by herself. She doesn't have any teeth yet- which really surprises me. She loves to eat and knows when some
one near her has food. She crawls as fast as she can to get to that person then stands there waiting to be fed. Kylie has her own little personality -it is so much fun to watch her grow and learn.

Kenna's Birthday

Kenna had a good birthday today- at least I thought so. We played this morning and then we went out and shoveled our sidewalk and driveway. Kenna and Kylie played, then ate lunch and took a nap. Around 2:30 my sisters and brother-in-law got here from Logan. A few minutes later my parents showed up and the girls were able to play with their aunts and uncle and grandparents. My mom helped me with a project and then Warren got home from work and grandpa and grandma Haws were able to come over. We had a small party for Kenna. Her favorite part was probably opening her presents and blowing out the candles. After everyone left we took Kenna to the pet store to see the animals.

When my dad came into our house he was holding the present and Kenna saw it and came running to him. She didn't really stop- just took the present saying "Mine" and then sat down and opened it. I asked her if she wanted to wait until her dad got home and the answer was "No." They gave her a cute pair of pants with a jacket and she took her pants off to put the new ones on. I think that she put on every piece of clothing that she got except for the dresses.

I can't believe that she is 2 years old. We are so glad that we have our little Kenna.

Blowing out her candles- she wanted more when they were blown out.

Today Kenna is 2 years old. It is crazy how fast time has flown by. More birthday details to come later.

Oh- and we have a lot more snow- and it is still coming down. Yeah for snow!

More Snow!!!

I am so excited to have more snow. It started snowing last night- and I really didn't think that we would get a lot of snow and we DID!

First Big Fight!

The girls had their first big fight over a toy today. Kenna was playing with her doll and Kylie wanted it. I thought that it was really funny and laughed and took pictures.

Kylie grabbed the doll from Kenna.
Look at her face- she is so mad!

Kenna won and walked away with the doll.

Kylie found something else to play with and was all smiles- in just a couple of seconds.

So Big...

The girls are growing up so fast. Kylie has figured out that she can take things away from Kenna or hold on tight to things and not let Kenna take from her. Sometimes it causes more fights, but I think that it is good that she is standing up for herself. Kenna knows more words and says more every day. Kylie can stand by herself for about 30 second s before she falls- pretty soon she will be walking.

Kylie - I am not sure what she is looking at.
Kenna took this picture of Kylie with a little bit of help from me.

More Cookies

Today we made more cookies. Kenna loves helping me- after everything we put in she would look at me and say "more". She is such a big helper.
Kenna is also saying more words. Yesterday she started saying Kylie instead of Baby. Sometimes it takes me a minute to figure out what she really wants- and sometimes she has to show me when she says the word and then I can figure it out. I can't believe how fast she learns new things.
Kylie has stood on her own for a couple of seconds - in no time she will be walking around. She also has figured out the remote control and the phone. She puts the phone up to her ear and starts talking. She learns so much just from watching us and her sister.
Here is Kylie watching us make cookies.

"ME!" and "MINE!"

We are hearing these two words many times a day at our house.

Kenna helping Kylie walk. She tells Kylie "Up, Walk." Then grabs her hand and starts walking.

"Me" then patting her leg, meaning Kylie sit here so I can hold her.

I let Kenna help me make cookies yesterday- they turned out great.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Brianna! We hope that you had a great birthday.

They love music!!!

Kenna and Kylie love to dance to music. We have the Curious George movie and they watch all the parts with the songs. I think Kylie's favorite part is the music video with Jack Johnson at the very end.

Kenna wanted her picture taken since I took the camera out to take Kylie's picture.

Our new Schedule

We are trying to get the girls on a earlier schedule. Earlier to bed, earlier naps, and earlier mornings. Yesterday, Kenna didn't get a nap, but was in bed around 8:30 and sound asleep. This morning she was up at 7:30 and had a nap at 1:00. I woke her up at 3:00 so we can put her to bed early tonight. So far for her it is working. Now Kylie... She takes about 1 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon and then tries to nap at 7 or 8 at night. If I can keep her up a little bit longer than maybe she will sleep through the night and get up the same time as Kenna- and maybe I can get to bed a little bit earlier.

Happy girls

Kenna laughing at me- she was teasing me then laughed about it.

Kylie is a happy baby - very calm. She is starting to walk while holding onto one of my hands and loves to be up so that she can walk. I don't think it will take her much longer before she takes off.

Fun Pictures

My sister took these two pictures and put them on our family blog. I had to steal them and put them on my blog so those who don't look at the family blog could see them.

Dressing herself

Kenna is not quite 2- but she sure acts like she is 2! Everything is "Mine!" and "NO!" Yesterday I went to get her an outfit to wear after I changed her diaper and she dressed herself- or kind of dressed herself. She put on a pair of socks and her boots and told us bye. So Silly!
