Worn Out

My brother gave a great talk yesterday about his mission and what he has learned from it. I am glad that we were able to go and listen to him talk. The girls were so worn out on the way home that they both fell right to sleep and slept the whole way home. Because it was later than usual for their naps, I thought that they would stay up playing last night. But... they were in bed and asleep by 9:45- only about 30 minutes later than normal.

Our Saturday...

Warren got home last night and today has been a relaxing day. Warren got up with the girls this morning and then got ready for the day when I got up 30 minutes later. He then took the girls out- and I got a whole hour and 15 minutes all to myself to get ready and to pack. When they got back, they had picked up Greg and we all headed to the zoo. After going through the zoo, we took the girls to the funland and Warren rode the horse ride with them. We dropped Greg off and then came home to eat lunch. Kylie didn't make it that far- she was so worn out that she fell asleep in the car on the way home. We fed Kenna lunch and now the girls are napping. When they get up from their naps then we will head back to Burley so that we are there tomorrow when Kyle speaks in church.

Lots of fun and pictures

Last week I went to the park with a few friends and we let our kids run around and play with each other. Last Saturday, (and Monday) we went to the zoo. Kenna loves looking at all the animals and making noises to try and get them to look at her. Monday afternoon we drove to Burley. On Tuesday we were able to see Mindy and play at Story book park. (I forgot my camera so no pictures of that.) On Wednesday we got ready to go and we drove with my mom to Salt Lake and walked around Temple Square. About 6:00 pm we drove to the airport and picked up my dad, who was coming home from business meetings. We also picked up my brother, who has just returned home from serving a mssion in Utica, New York. Today we have been relaxing and getting our hair cut. Kenna's hair turned out so cute! While the girls and I have been in Burley visiting with my family- Warren has been in Portland for training in the licenses. We will be glad to see him tomorrow!

Wow- we have been so busy lately.

Fun Weekend with Zoo and all...

Yesterday my sister Beverly came to visit. We went to the zoo- which opened yesterday for the summer, we went shopping and fed the ducks at the river. It was great to have her here for a couple of days.

Big Girl

Kenna looking at her flash cards- she loves looking at them and telling me about each one.

This afternoon we are having Kenna wear big girl underwear. We will see how it works and see how fast we can get her potty trained.

My Birthday

Saturday, Apirl 4th was my 25th birthday. It was a great day.

Me with a couple of my gifts- a new printer and some lotion. I also got some money to go shopping, a couple of pans and a new shirt.

Me with birthday cake that Beverly claimed to have made. (It looked store bought to me, but you never know...)

Conference Weekend

We were able to spend Conference Weekend in Burley. We got there Saturday afternoon, and the girls played and played. On Sunday we went and saw Warren's sister Mindy. Sunday evening Warren came back so that he could be ready for work the next morning. Sunday night we went to my Grandparents house. We talked about conference and then had Birthday cakes and ice cream. (My uncle's birthday was on the 3rd, mine on the 4th and Grandpa's on the 9th.) Monday morning my mom had to do some work on the computer, so I took the girls into to see my grandma. The girls and Grandma enjoyed their time together. Monday evening after Dad took Kenna on a ride in the pickup to see the cows. She loved watching the loader load the feed truck up-and kept telling us "truck." Tuesday morning we got up and got ready and then left about 12. Mom wanted to look for some material, so she brought us back. We all had a great time on our mini vacation.

Kylie News

This morning we had a well child check for Kylie. She is 30 and 1/4 inches long and weighs 22 pounds and 6 ounces. That puts her in the 85 % for her length and 70% for her weight.
Kylie loves to do what ever Kenna does- talking, walking, playing with toys. Sometimes Kenna doesn't care and will play with her, but most of the time-Kenna is a typical 2 year old that wants to things her way and by herself. They are both learning how to share-(take each others toys- and take back what they were playing with in the first place- that kind of sharing.)

This is the other night when the girls were playing with the pans while I cooked dinner.

Funny story: Last night I made hamburgers for dinner. Kenna wanted hers to be fixed like mine was with the burger on the bun with ketchup, mustard, and pickles. She ate it like that just fine until she saw that both Warren and I had finished eating ours. Kenna then took it apart and pulled the cheese off to eat. She looked at it, then started waving it around. When I told her that it was good and that she should take a bite, she threw it and said "Gross." We both started laughing - I don't know where she picks up some of her words.
