Happy Birthday Warren!

I didn't get any pictures of Thanksgiving and Joyce had this one. I helped her make fudge Wednesday evening. The guys got to stir it and then we poured it into a big pan. We all had a taste of it and then walked away... except for Kylie. This is what she did for almost 10 minutes. She sure loves her sweets!

Today was Warren's birthday. Last night he opened most of his gifts and we had pie. Today- Warren had the day off and so he got the lights up on the house and our Christmas tree up. He got a couple of gifts in the mail today that he opened.

The girls helped him open this one- a nice razor from his parents.

A Raiders toaster from Spencer. It put the symbol of the team on the toast when you cook it. I was really confused when it came in the mail and Mike had to tell me that it was probably from Spencer. (I still sent a text to him to make sure... since I thought the box was something that Warren had ordered and then it was a toaster...)

Warren reading what the author signed in his book. I waited almost 2 hours to get the book signed as a surprise- and Warren had figured it out before I even went. I told him he should have told me how popular the author was so that I could have been more prepared!

Showing dad just how to do it...

Setting the different pieces out.

The Christmas Tree- I let the girls put all the ornaments on- We didn't put on any of the breakable ones. That way they can rearrange the tree to their hearts content. (Or until I go crazy with them moving them all the time.)

Girly Girl

Kylie has always been so girly! Today we went to church with Warren - at Good Sam's. He goes every week and helps the older people get down to the chapel, teaches Sunday school, and then helps pass the Sacrament to those who can't make it down to the chapel. The people there just love having the girls come. Today there were a few people out in the hall as we walked down- Warren had gone ahead with Kenna and I was following Kylie- who was walking slower. All of the people who saw Kylie told her she was cute and had a pretty dress on. She would smile, tilt her head and then twirl around while saying "Me pretty." Of course all of the old folks that saw this - loved it!

Kenna's imagination

See that pile of cardboard? That used to be a box- a BIG box. Kenna was playing with it and said that it was her house. About 30 minutes later she started ripping it up. She sat there and ripped the entire box into little pieces. I asked her why she was ripping the box up- she replied, "Well, that was my house, but the big bad wolf blew it down." At first I just looked at her and then I shook my head. Where in the world did she get from reading a story- to being in the story? She keeps me on my toes- I will tell you that.

Update...

We have stayed really busy and I am glad that we have this week to take it slow.

Kenna and Kylie playing in the snow on Sat. Nov. 20th. We have been dumped on since then and all Kenna wants is to be outside playing in it. Kylie will go out- but once she gets cold she comes in.

Playing in the leaves Nov. 1st.

Craving Pumpkins Oct. 29th- Kenna kept asking when it would be her turn with the knife to crave her own pumpkin. We told her she had to let Dad to it. Of course being independent she took matters in her own hands and got a knife out herself. After scaring Mindy half to death the knife gotten taken away.
Kenna sitting by her pumpkin.
Kenna and Kylie in their witch costumes before the ward party Oct. 29th.

Yesterday we got the first real snowfall of the season. Winter is officially here.
