And here are some pictures of Daniel. I think that he has changed in the last week.

1 Week
Daniel is one week old today. He is the best baby ever. He never cries- unless we don't get him fed as soon as he wants it. He mostly just sleeps- having about an hour of awake time in the morning and at night. The girls love him and want to help with every little thing. I am usually up with Daniel in the mornings when they get up and the first thing I am asked is if they can hold him. That is a frequent question throughout the day.

Bubba's Here!
Bubba arrived at 7:58 am today. He weighs 9 lbs 10 oz, and is 22 inches long.
His official name is Daniel Floyd Haws.
He and his mother are both doing well and resting in the hospital.
Grandma Gerratt has been spending the afternoon with them, and Grandma Haws has been wrangling Kenna and Kylie. The girls got to visit at lunch time with Grandpa and Grandma Haws, and brought Bubba toys that they got in their happy meals.
We are all very excited to welcome Daniel (Bubba) to the family!

Busy Day
I had a list of things that I wanted done and since Warren had today off- I put him to work. This morning he cleaned out all the weeds/grass around our peach tree and got the dirt ready to plant our strawberries, and then planted them. A couple of weeks ago a nursery here in town did a sale that if you bought 25 strawberry plants, you got another 25 of a different kind for free- so we have 50 plants and hopefully some of them take. We also went to the zoo- which opened today. Kenna wanted to see all the animals, but most of them are still in their winter homes and won't be brought out until Memorial Day. When we got back from the zoo we had lunch and quiet time. Warren got the crib set up and we got the girls in the bath and then headed back out. We went to the Temple Visiting Center and saw the display of "Reflections of Christ." The girls and Warren then took a walk around the Temple. A busy day- but I am glad that we have a lot of things crossed off my list.

Warren and the girls pulling weeds- the girls are actually digging for worms. Kenna wouldn't touch them, even though she wanted to keep them. Kylie loved picking them up and bringing them to me.

More Spring Cleaning/ Planting
This week I got my kitchen all cleaned- the floor, walls and front of my cupboards. I even got 2 cupboards cleaned out and organized. I hope that on Saturday that we can get our garden rototilled and our strawberries and peas planted. In other good news- I have 3 tiny tomato sprouts coming up. We planted those inside and when it gets warmer we will transplant them- and hope that they survive.

2 Seasons in 1 day...
This morning the sun was shining, and even with the wind, looked like it was going to be a nice Spring day. Around 1:00 this afternoon it was actually 60 degrees outside. I thought it would be nice for us to go out after quiet time. By 2:30 the dark clouds had rolled in and it was pouring rain. I shut the curtains to ignore the bad weather. When Warren came home from work, he informed me that it was now snow- not just the kind that melts as soon as it hits the ground - but the kind that sticks. My backyard was completely covered! Good thing I had shut the curtains...

My Birthday
Yesterday was my birthday. It was a good day. Warren took me to lunch while Joyce watched the girls. We even got to do a little bit of shopping that I wanted done. I also got some nice things. Warren got me an electric skillet and cake- plus the few things that I had bought for myself. My mom got me a shredder, and my grandma gave me a nice wall hanging for Christmas. Joyce watched the girls for a couple of hours so that we could go to lunch. It was a good relaxing day.
