Sharing

When Daniel cries- he gets immediate attention- and has now figured that out. I put him down and walked away - and he immediately started to cry. Kylie was playing on the floor with her dolls and got up next to him and started talking to him. She then told him that he could play with her doll and laid it next to him.

Swimming

The girls are in their second week of swimming lessons and love it.  (It is hard to get a good picture of them swimming.)

Kylie...

Today while I was rocking Daniel, Kylie and I had the following conversation:
Kylie: Is he a boy?
Me: Yes
Kylie: Where is the baby girl?
Me: (confused) What baby girl?
Kylie: The one that was at Diane's house- Brooklyn.
Me: She is still at Diane's house- that is where she lives.
Kylie: Oh- I thought she came home with me.

(I am not sure why she thought that Brooklyn was here- we have been home for 5 days and Brooklyn has never been here.)

Busy Weekend

We had a family reunion with my dad's side of the family this past weekend. Warren had to work so I took the kids to Burley on Thursday so we could go with them to Lagoon. Friday morning we left early and met Diane and Kyle in Brigham City. We divided up between 3 cars and headed down to Lagoon. We got there at 12 and got all of our stuff where it needed to go. Then we found some rides to go on. At 3 we had a big lunch with all the family and visited for a little bit. Everybody decided to go on the Rattle Snake Rapids rides and off we went. One of my aunts and a cousin didn't want to get wet so they watched the babies for us. The girls loved that ride and went 3 times! Afterwards Kenna was soaked and wanted to change her clothes. We found some more rides to go on and then split up. Another Aunt watched Daniel and Brooklyn while I went with Diane and Alan on a ride. I went back to get Daniel and then met up with my parents who had the girls. We went on a few more rides. Kenna loved the dragon roller coaster - so we went on that a few times. About 8:30 we started to get hungry so we went and made some sandwiches. Most of us were ready to go so we started to load stuff up and get ready to head out. Kenna and Kylie wanted to go on the dragon roller coaster one more time so Diane and Alan took them to go one last time and the rest of us went out to the cars. It was a late night - but we had such a great day.
On Saturday (We didn't take any pictures on Saturday) we went to my Aunt Carolyn's house for breakfast. After breakfast we went to a park and played softball. It is tradition to play at every family reunion. After softball everyone said their good byes and headed to their own homes. We headed to Logan and stayed with Diane Saturday night. Since Warren had to work, he met my dad and came down to Logan Saturday night. On Sunday Kyle blessed his baby. We had a great time with family- but I am glad to be back in my own home.

Growing like a weed

Daniel is growing so fast. Next week will be his 2 month appointment. Yesterday I got out all the 3 to 6 month clothes because he is so long and the smaller clothes were getting too small.

Silly Girl

Greg just came over to borrow something from Warren.  He played a game on the wii with Kenna, then headed downstairs to get what he needed.  I was changing Daniel's diaper and Kylie came and asked me "Where are the kids?"  I was trying to figure out what kids and she was getting really frustrated and then said "The kids that were in the living room.  Where did they go?"  I asked her if she was looking for Kenna.  "Yeah- and that kid that came over."

A week in review...

On Tuesday we headed down to Utah to see Jenny and her family. The girls played with their cousins, and then Mike and Warren took them swimming at the motel. After swimming and eating dinner we put them to bed.

Warren then went to the airport with Jenny and Mike to help pick up Greg, who came home from his mission. Wednesday morning we went back over to Jenny's to see Greg. The girls played with their cousins some more and then we headed back home.

On Friday the kids and I went to the zoo with Mindy and Greg. The girls loved showing Greg all the animals. One of the girl's favorite things to do at the zoo is feeding the goats. The funny thing about it is that they don't feed the big fat ones.

Saturday night Jenny and Mike came up here so that they could hear Greg speak today. Jenny brought Ruby and Milo with her- and the girls had so much fun playing with Ruby.  Greg gave a great talk about his mission today.  We are glad that he is home safe.

It only took a year...

About a year ago I decided that the girls needed nice blankets for their twin beds. I thought it would be a great idea to make them. So I went and got some material and started cutting out squares. I soon became frustrated that they were not straight - so I put everything away. A couple of months went by and I found some other material that would go great with what I had so I got some of that. And then I took it to Burley so I could enlist my mom's help. Since she has one of those roller things to cut with - I used that and soon had all the squares cut. I had started cutting out the back material - but was not sure how I was going to sew it all together. In October I laid it all out in my mom's living room and talked to her about ideas on what to do. We decided that it would be great if one of her friend's could do the cool design sewing thing on them. As we laid the material out to put them together we realized how not straight some of the squares were. My mom offered to take the time and square them up for me. She also talked to her friend about sewing them together. Her friend said she wouldn't have time until after Christmas- and would give my mom a call. In November I went back to Burley and sewed all the squares together to make it into the top of the blanket. My mom got the backs ready to go - (since I had already cut one into pieces then mom had to get more material.) In January my mom talked to her friend - and her friend told her that she had been trying to sell her machine- thinking it would take a long time (and it didn't)- and got a great offer on it. So then we were back to what to do with the quilts. At first my mom was going to quilt them, but I wasn't sure that it was what I wanted. After looking at different thread and the quilts for a while we decided that it would be just as cute if we tied them. So my mom took the time to tie them- and finish them off. So last Friday I helped her turn the last turn and sew the last few ties.
It only took a year.

Time in Burley

My Mom came to visit us on Wednesday- and I decided (at last minute) that it would give me a good break if I came back with her. So we packed a bag and came. We have been enjoying our visit.
