Mini Vacation

This last week Warren has had to work a lot.  I knew that he would be at work every day and for most of the day. So I packed the kids up and went to Burley to spend some time with my parents.  We helped my mom organize her book cupboards, clean out her tapes/cds and clean/organize her storage room.  The girls also convinced Papa to push them on the swings and to take them for ice cream.  We also took them into Storybook Park to play.  It was a good break for all of us.

My Aunt sent this to my dad in an email...

Wife's Diary: 

 

                    Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird.   We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner.  I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk.   He agreed, but he didn't say much.   

I asked him what was  wrong;  He said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.  On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly,  and kept  driving.
 I can't explain his behavior I don't know why he didn't say, 'I love you, too.'  When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely,  as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.  He just sat there quietly, and watched TV.  He continued to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed.  About 15 minutes later, he came to bed.   But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else.  He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his  thoughts are with someone else.  My life is a disaster.

3 Months

Daniel is now 3 months old. He weighs 15 1/2 pounds. He sleeps through the night- or at least 6 hours (most nights). Most of the time he smiles and laughs and is very content.  He is starting to move around and has started to try and roll.

6 Years

Today is our 6th Anniversary.
In 6 years we have bought a house, we have 3 beautiful kids, and we are on the 4th promotion.

Warren had to work today- but he had Thursday off so we were able to go to the Temple and get some lunch.  After Warren got off work today then we went to our friend Zach's wedding.

(On a side note- 6 years ago the 6th Harry Potter book came out- and this weekend the last movie of Harry Potter came out.)

4th of July Events

Our 4th of July Weekend started July 2nd with family pictures. After pictures we headed to the zoo with everyone. On Sunday we had Daniel's baby blessing.

On the 4th we went over to Warren's parents house- where we watched the parade. After the parade and lunch we took the girls home for a much needed nap. After nap time they got to swim in Papa's new pool. That night we did a few fireworks before heading down to see the big ones.

On Tuesday, Warren went into work for a little bit then we headed back over to his parents to spend time with cousins.  After lunch we all went to blastoff and the kids had a great time playing together.

On Wednesday, I had our family pictures scheduled.  After that we went to see Cars 2 with everyone.  Jenny and Mindy both left on Thursday so we told them good bye on Wednesday night.  We played board games with Spencer, Brianna, and Greg on Wednesday night and again on Friday night.  Spencer and Brianna left early Sunday morning.  We had a great time with all of the family.

Daniel's Blessing

Today we blessed Daniel in Church. Afterwards we had a get- together in our backyard. We had family and friends come and support us. We are so thankful for all of their love.
