Hair Cuts

My sister, the girls and I all went and got our hair cut today.

Christmas

Christmas Eve we went to Grandma and Grandpa Haws house.   We started with a bowling tournament with 3 different divisions.  (I am not sure which division ended up winning- but we had fun.)  The missionaries came over to spend the evening with us.  We had a great dinner.  After the dinner we did a Christmas Program.  After the program we opened sibling presents.  Mike got Warren a Air Gun thing- it scares Daniel - a lot. Mindy got me a picture block and cute shirt.  I got Mindy a necklace and earings.  Warren got Greg a big fleece blanket and the first season of Pysc. The missionaries got a pair of thick socks. After that we had some pie and visited with each other.  It started to get late for my kids-  so we had them open up their pj's.  When we left, we drove across town to watch a light show.  (We were hoping that the girls would go to sleep- but that didn't happen.)  We got home and put the kids to bed.

Christmas morning the girls slept in- which was nice.  They got up about 8:45 and we headed downstairs to our new room. :)  The kids saw that Santa had left them bikes and a playhouse- They were pretty excited.  They played for a little bit, then we opened presents.  The kids got new church clothes - so we changed them and headed to church.  When we got home we had a quick bite to eat and got the car packed. 

We then headed to Burley.  My sister Beverly called while we were on the road and we got to my parents towards the end of the call.  She sounded really good and happy.  We then finished getting dinner ready and some of my parents friends and my grandparents came over.  We ate dinner and visited for awhile.  After the friends left and dinner was cleaned up, we opened more presents.  I had a picture painted of my kids and gave to my parents (and to Warren's parents and Warren.)   I also caught up the stars and hearts for my Grandma's calendar and gave those to her.  Warren got a nice purple button up shirt, I got a sweater and the kids got clothes from my parents.  My grandma also got the girls big blankets.  My  mom and my sister Emily (who had our name) got the girls some school stuff- that they are really excited about.

As you can see in the pictures- our basement room is almost done- I am so excited.  Warren is going to try and get shelves built in the closet this week - and finish laying the carpet.

8 months

Daniel is now 8 months old! Crazy I know. He pulls himself up onto anything he can reach- but has not figured out how to move his legs to walk. He crawls super fast- and tries to get everything. He loves to eat- and will eat anything.

Closet

Warren and his friend Jon worked most of today and got all the trim up and the window and doorway finished. Now we need to touch up the paint, lay carpet and build shelves in the closet. We are hoping that the room will be ready by Christmas. Cross your fingers!

Christmas Party

Tonight was our Ward Christmas Party. The girls were so excited for it and it was very hard to keep them calm all day. Each organization was in charge of putting together a Christmas musical number to share. When the primary sang, Kenna didn't want to go up to the front by herself, so Kylie went with her. After the program we ate a good dinner- then had a visit from Santa. They called out each age group to go see him so it was less crowded and not a huge rush. They started with those under 1 - Daniel was the only one in that age group that went up. The girls were excited to see Santa- but Kylie was so disappointed that she couldn't see the reindeer.
