Whew!

This week is almost over! Last week my camera broke and I thought I had fixed it. When I started taking pictures of Daniel on Monday- it wouldn't work. So now we are using the camera on my phone-not the best, but at least something.

Daniel is now 10 months. He loves to eat(still), can stand for a few seconds on his own, and is trying to get in his 2 front top teeth. He plays really well on his own and with his sisters.

On Wednesday we had a huge windstorm- that lasted all day long. About 4 pm I heard a crash and thought- that sounded like a tree. Then I thought of all the trees around our house and thought- probably not one of mine. Daniel got up from his nap around 4:45 and the girls opened the curtains. Both of them started saying that we had a tree in our front yard. I came over and looked out the window and sure enough we had a tree in the front yard. I told the girls to stay put and ran outside to figure out where in the world the tree came from. It was our neighbor's tree and when it came down it missed his car by 2 inches and our house by about 1 1/2 feet. Our lilac bushes are pretty much destroyed - but that is better than the house. :) (If it had been the other tree- there is no way it would have missed our house.)

Since the wind was still blowing when the girls went to bed and we were worried about the other tree in the neighbor's yard that is leaning- the girls had a sleepover in the basement.

Our Weekend

On Friday we headed down to Utah to see Jenny, Mike and Greg. We got there Friday afternoon and the girls played and played with Ruby. Daniel played with Milo as long as he could see that I was in the same room as him. That night we went to Jenny's ward dinner- they showed everyone how to do a dance and all 3 girls wanted to do the dance- so John, Warren and Mike got to dance with them. (I didn't have my camera there -sorry no pictures of that). Once the kids were in bed that night we played a game with Mike and his girlfriend Jenny, Greg and his girlfriend Christina.

Milo and Daniel

Daniel wanted out to play with Milo.

The next day we got up and had breakfast. The kids played most of the morning. Jenny's boys had a basketball game- we were all going to go, but Daniel fell asleep so I stayed with him and the girls while everyone else went. After that we had lunch and then we headed to a motel to check in. (The girls like to swim and we thought if we had one night at a motel then they could do that.) Mike and Greg came over and went swimming with the girls and Warren. They swam for about an hour, then we got ready and headed to Spanish Fork to visit my cousin John. (I forgot my camera in the car- so again no pictures :( We visited for a while, and he showed us his awesome closet in his basement- It is a playhouse - way cool. The girls were so worn out by this time that we didn't stay too long and headed back to Jennys for a minute, then to the motel for bed.

Sunday morning we got up and got ready for church.  After church we had lunch.  The kids played some more - then we got on the road.  We all had a great time.

Milo loved playing with Daniel and would always ask where he was.  He often called him "the little guy."

Good Recipe

Sloppy Joe Biscuit Casserole

1 pound ground beef (Is just find with 1/2 pound)
1 1/2 cups frozen corn (I used a can- drained)
3/4 cup frozen chopped green bell pepper (I left this out)
3/4 cup frozen chopped onion (I used minced onion seasoning)
1 can or packet of Sloppy Joe seasoning
1 can (15 oz) Pork and Beans
1 pkg. refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough (10 small biscuits)
(Make sure it is the small biscuits-- I accidentally got the jumbo and they didn't cook all the way through)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 13x9 pan and set aside. Cook and stir beef in a skillet over medium -high heat until cooked. Drain the meat. Add all frozen vegetables. Cover and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil- stirring occasionally. Pour into baking dish. Meanwhile, remove biscuit dough from package. Cut each biscuit in half crosswise. Place cut side down over a hot mixture around the edge of baking dish, overlapping slightly. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until biscuits are deep golden brown.

She Cracks me up!

Kylie used to eat ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.  She has been in a phase- for a really long time now- where she won't eat or even try to eat what I fix.  (It doesn't matter what meal it is all she wants is Oatmeal.)  Tonight she saw the pan of food and started fake coughing.  She turned to me and said   "See, I am allergic to that - I can't eat it."  I had to cover my mouth so she wouldn't see me laughing.
