Birthday Celebrations

 He grabbed a handful of the cake while it was cooling- he learns a lot from his sisters...

 His car cakes- I got a cake pan that cooks 12 square cakes.

 Eating a bread stick and wearing birthday shirt.  (My sister found that shirt and sent it to me.  Thanks!)

 He was more interested in touching the candle than blowing it out- so his sisters helped him out.

 He really liked using the box as a drum instead of opening it.

He really likes playing with it.  I think he was a little confused why he had to open presents and why he had this new toy.  We were going to open presents from Grandma and Grandpa Haws tonight but we have all been sick this weekend - so he opened a toy from them and will open the others another night.

Today is Daniel's first Birthday!  Daniel is a little monkey- He figures out how to climb up on everything! He says dad, mom, and what sounds like mine.  He still eats everything and anything.  He started walking this week and is getting really good at it.  Right now he is teething again- so he is not as happy as he usually is.  We are so glad that he is part of our family.

(Side note- I started using essential oils- and that is what he is getting into.)

Long Day...

Yesterday I had to go somewhere when Daniel usually takes his nap.  He fell asleep on the way there, but did not stay asleep.  Once I got home I tried to get him to take a nap and he did not want to at all.  About 6:30 last night the girls said they were hungry, so I put Daniel in his high chair and gave him pieces of a banana while I got the girls plates dished up.  Once the girls sat down and started eating I looked over at Daniel to see if he needed something else, and he was sound asleep.  After Kenna got done eating she told me that she wanted to rock him.  I let her rock him and she sang "I am A child of God" to him while she rocked.

Update on Kiddos-
Kenna:  Loves Math and adding numbers together
             Is working on learning the 4th Article of Faith
             Loves to play outside - taking walks and playing at the park

Kylie:  Had a hearing test this last week which she passed (She told us that the big machine on her ears sucked the hiccups out, so she won't have them anymore.)  
            Is a little mom to Daniel and the other little girl that we watch
            Loves to go to Primary

Daniel:  Took 7 steps this last week, but has not tried again
              Is a big tease- especially loves to tease Kylie
              Is very persistent- he gets what he wants, even if he has to growl and grunt and climb to get it...

 Its all gone? And all over me?

A Christmas decoration from my Grandmother

I had a good day.  Warren was able to be home for most of the day.  It was mostly relaxing and not doing a whole lot.  We went and got shirts for us for the family picture that my mom is planning.  The girls shirts are also for Easter to wear with their white skirts.  I made taquitos for dinner and Cheesecake with Strawberries for the topping for my cake.
