Daniel's Stitches
On Sunday while we were at our family reunion Daniel had to get stitches in his head. He was trying to walk up the stairs, dragging his blanket. He got on the first stair and was stepping on his blanket, and when he pulled it out, he lost his balance and fell off the stair. His head hit the corner of the doorway and it split open- really bad. My sister Beverly ran down and picked him up and then realized he was bleeding. I took him from her and we went into the bathroom to see how bad it was. After seeing it we knew he had to have stitches. Diane showed us how to get to the urgent care clinic and he got stitches. When we got back to the house he was back to his same self - climbing up on furniture and trying to jump off of chairs, or into blankets. I am actually surprised that this was his first time having to have stitches and hope that it is his only time- (although I won't hold my breath on that one...)
The pictures make him look like a little boy. It has been so hard to get him to put a shirt on and leave it on-that is why he doesn't have a shirt on....

Family Reunion
On Friday, May 3, we drove down to Logan for my family's reunion. My brother, sister, and brother in law all graduated from Utah State on Saturday. We thought that this would be the best time for everyone to try and get together. My mom was able to rent a house so that we could all stay together and have somewhere to go for meals and have somewhere for kids to play.
Friday night we had a dinner, a lip sinc, and then adult games after kids were in bed. On Saturday Warren and I stayed with most of the kids while everyone was in and out for the graduations. That night after graduations, we had dinner, and then the kids (and adults) were pretty tired. We sang Happy Birthday to Beverly and Eliza, had cake and then put the kids to bed. We talked for a bit then slowly all the adults headed to bed. Sunday morning we got up and got ready for church. While Daniel was climbing up the stairs he triped on his blanket and fell down- hitting his head on the door frame - cutting it open. It was really bad and we had to take him to the Urgent Care for him to get stitches. My parents got our girls ready for church and took the girls with them. Once Daniel was stitched up we took him back, and after a little bit everyone got back from church. We had a lunch and then cleaned everything up, and we all left. It was good to all be together for a couple of days.
I only have pictures of the Friday night Lip Sinc...

An Update
For me the month of April flew by-I guess we stayed pretty busy! The second weekend Warren had a graduation thing for his work. For 8 weeks they put a group of management people through a training program. They had to read a book and go to classes. At the end of the program they held a graduation program and lunch for those who went through it. Throughout the rest of spring/summer they will put everyone who works there through this program. I went with him to the graduation (but forgot to get pictures).
After the graduation program we headed to Burley. (My mom had met us in Pocatello to take the kids for the day). We stayed in Burley Saturday night and on Sundy (the 14th) we headed to Boise. My sister was having her baby blessed. (Again- I am really bad about taking pictures). After church we had a lunch and then we came back home. It was a short trip, but we were glad to be able to see Emily and her new baby Claire.
On the 20th we celebrated Daniel's 2nd Birthday. Warren had to work so when he got home we took gifts and cake over to his parents and had a small party.
The next weekend -the 26th and 27th Warren headed down to Utah with his dad. They took some funiture to Greg and picked up Mike and Jenny. While they were down there Warren got to meet our new nephew Alton who was born on April 13th. He also found a small toddler bed for Daniel at a yard sale and got it.
The next weekend - May 3-5 we went to Logan to have my family reunion. My sister, brother, and brother in law graduated from Utah State and so we decided to have our family reunion.
Kenna is still loving school. She has learned how to read and loves to read stories to Kylie and Daniel. She is a big helper and usually will jump right in and ask what she can do to help. We are signing her up for t-ball this summer- hopefully she likes it.
Kylie loves to go to joy school and will do some academic things with me. She has a big imagination and tells me all kinds of stories all day long. She loves to talk and will talk to anyone and everyone who will listen. She also loves to jump in and help- as long as Kenna is not around.
Daniel is getting to be so big. He has started to talk more- but I really don't understand most of what he says. I am pretty sure he has one speed and that is fast. He climbs up on everything and if a don't catch it and ask him to climb down, he jumps down. He learns new things so fast- he sees his sisters or one of us do something and he thinks he can do it too. (And usually he can, I just won't let him....)
