Redfish Lake

A couple of weeks ago my dad's family had a family reunion at Redfish Lake.  I was not able to go, but my mom came and got my girls and took them with her.  With everyone that was able to go, there was a total of 74 people there.   The girls had a lot of fun- meeting new cousins, camping, playing, boating and swimming.  I am glad that they were able to go and that they had a fun time.  My sisters emailed me a few pictures of the girls.

Swim Lessons

This year we did swim lessons for 2 sessions right in a row.  The girls loved swimming and I saw a lot of improvement during the lessons.

8 Years!

On Tuesday, July 16th we celebrated our 8 year anniversary.  It was mostly laid back, but good.  My mom came Monday night to get the girls (another post) and so we just had Daniel.  Warren had to work, but was able to work at one of the branches here in Idaho Falls.  I met him for lunch and then he went back to work and I put Daniel down for a nap.  When Warren got home from work we got Daniel something to eat and dropped him off at Grandma's house.  We went and got a quick bite to eat then went and watched the new Star Trek movie.  We both enjoyed it.   It was good to have a nice laid back day together.

Independence Day

Our 4th of July started early...  The parade started at 9,  Daniel and Kylie watched with Mindy, Greg and Kristina.  I watched a little bit of it- in between getting drinks and food for the kids- and trying to stay cool.  After the parade the girls convinced Papa to fill up his kiddy pool so that they could play in it.  We had lunch and then they kids played and played in the water.  Daniel and I came home about 1 for naps and Warren took the girls to a friend's BBQ.  His friends had set up a big slip and slide in his back yard- the girls had a lot of fun playing on that.  When they got home and had a quick bath and a short quiet time we headed to another friends BBQ.  We ate a little bit and all the kids played and played.  After that we headed back over to Warren's parents house (they had also had a BBQ). We ate a little bit more and then relaxed for a little bit.  Joyce has an ice cream maker bucket that you turn the handle to make it and every year we make ice cream.  We all took a turn making it and then got to eat good homemade ice cream.  The girls were tired and sitting still for a minute so Warren and I ran over to another friends BBQ- he just lives a street over.  We just visited with some of the friends then went and got ready to watch fireworks.  I stayed at Warren's parents house with Daniel while Warren, Mindy, Greg and Kristina took the girls down by the river to see the fireworks.  They got delayed for an hour- so the girls got really tired and a little cold, and Kylie ended up falling asleep.  We saw Greg off (he had to work in Provo this morning) and then got the kids in bed.   It was a big long day- but lots of fun.

 Just before the parade

Kenna helped sell snow cones with the young women- she was really upset when they quit before the end of parade.

(I didn't get any pictures of the swimming)

Kenna turn to help make Ice Cream

 Daniel's turn

 Kylie's turn

Warren got it very last because it gets really hard to move the handle when it is almost done.

We had a great time celebrating Independence Day.
